The Numismatic Museum is one the oldest state museums in Greece. It was established in 1834, the same year as the National Archaeological Museum. In a world that is changing so fast Numismatic Museum meets the new challenges and brightens its own vision. Museum of Cycladic Art
The museum of Cycladic Art is the one which deals with the housing of objects and the promotion of the ancient civilizations of Cyclades and Cyprus. Its most important exhibits are works of Gycladic culture from the 3 rd millennium BC. The museum was founded in January 1986, to house the collection of Cycladic and ancient Greek art. Since the founding of the museum, the collection has grown from donations and artisan purchases. The museum also hosts periodic exhibitions of ancient and contemporary art.
