National Archaeological Museum
The National Archaeological Museum is considered as one of the greatest museums in the world and contains the richest collection of artifacts from Greek antiquity worldwide. The museum is housed in an imposing neoclassical building, built in the late 19 th century. It is situated in Exarcheia area in central Athens, on Patision street adjacent to the historical building of the Athens Polytechnic University. In front of it and towards Patision street there is paved square. The museum has a rich photographic archive and a library with many rare editions, which is constantly enriched for the needs of the scientific staff.The National Archaeological Museum receives thousands of visitors every year.
Hellenic Motor Museum
The Hellenic Motors Museum occupies 4. 000sq.m in a building of unique architecture and aesthetics. It is dedicated to technology and the evolution of cars, including more than 110 exhibits from the late 19 th century to the end of the 20 th . It is in the center of Athens, remarkably close to the National Archaeological Museum. It offers other activities such as the Formula 1 simulator, road safety programs for primary and secondary school students and an amphitheater offered for 200-seat events.
