Mycenae
Mycenae was an ancient city of Argolida near mounain Tritos and opposite to the Argolic Gulf. The archaeological site of Mycenae is located about 90km southwest of Athens, in the northeastern Peloponnese. The ‘’Multi-Gold Mycenae’’ the kingdom of the mythical Agamemnon, is the most important and richest palace of the Late Bronze Years in Greece. Their name has been given to one of the most brilliant civilizations of Greece prehistory, the Mycenean. Today, in this place there is a small village of Mycenae (Harvati during the Turkish years) and the remains of Acropolis which are always reminiscent of the distant and glorious times.
